I'm a musician, can I come and perform at 'The Phrontistery'

Most of the time yes - here's a summary of how things "roll" at The Phrontistery so that you can make a decision based on all "important to know" info.
The events are operated on a donation basis, we collect for the event during the break (if there is one) or at the end of the show. The Phrontistery takes 35% of the collection to contribute to the hosting costs, the rest (plus of course the money made from CD sales) goes to the performing artist.
We cannot guarantee any large sums of money, there are sometimes very few who attend the shows, other times more. To compensate, a home made evening meal and some drinks are offered on the house.

Most of the concerts are acoustic sets, though some have been plugged in. The musicians tend to bring all of the required equipment with them. There is a small PA available at the space. If this is something that could work for you, Reach Out with a few dates that would work for you as well as a summary of who you are and some links to your online platforms. PLEASE NOTE - By contacting The Phrontistery to organise a concert, you are also responsible for ensuring the event is registered with SUISA. You will be provided with a form to complete in store, we will make sure SUISA receive a copy, you will be compensated accordingly if your music is protected by copyright law.

The Phrontistery has been the core of my life since November 2016. It is a social, cultural, business, life project and experiment that has been a place of retreat and/ or wonder from the moment it came to be. It is my first public creative expression and a source of nourishment for my soul. My hope is to offer a platform for true connection.
